UK households can ditch the 'big six' for cheapest standard dual fuel from First Utility

Today, leading independent energy company First Utility has announced price reductions to make its Standard dual-fuel tariff the cheapest standard energy deal across the whole of the UK. This new Standard tariff from First Utility has knocked British Gas off the pricing top spot in every area of the UK.

With a backdrop of Ofgem warning the Big Six energy companies to drop their prices this news will be welcomed by households across the nation looking for an alternative supplier.

The price reduction means that First Utility is now cheapest in every single region of the country for single and two-rate customers, based on all payment methods. Based on a single rate direct debit or cash/cheque payment at average consumption, First Utility’s Standard tariff will be cheapest across all 14 energy regions, on average £8.35 cheaper for those paying by direct debit and for those paying by cheque or cash £20.28 cheaper.
