Moving in
If you are moving in to a home that is already supplied by First Utility then please call our Customer Service team so that we can activate your account and ensure that the first bill you receive is correct. Doing this means you will only pay for the energy you use and not for the previous tenant's energy.
Customer Services can be contacted on 0845 215 5000 between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am until 1pm on Saturday's.
Moving out
Existing customers, let us know you are moving out of your home by logging in to your online account and using the "Moving out" option in the Contact Us form.
We ask you to provide us with information that will help to reconcile your energy account prior to you moving out, such as your meter readings, your date of moving, details of the next tenant (or landlord details) and forwarding address.
We hope that you will choose First Utility as your preferred supplier in your new home. However, if you do decide to leave us then, providing you are not on one of our fixed term tariffs, no charge will be applied. You will need to provide 28 days notice of your intention to cancel supply. More help and advice about leaving can be found in leaving First Utility.
