- Can you supply me with electricity only?
This tariff is dual fuel (electricity and gas together.)
If your home only runs on electricity you could try our Smart as standard electricity tariff which comes with a free smart meter.

- Will the price of this tariff remain the same throughout my contract?
This is a variable tariff so the price can change at any time as a result of increases or decreases to the unit rates or standing charges. Customers are protected against price changes for the first three months that they are on this tariff. We give you advanced notice if we change our prices, In line with our terms and conditions.

- Is there a cancellation fee for this tariff?
No. Customers who sign up to our Smart as Standard or iSave tariffs do not have to pay a cancellation fee if they leave us or change tariffs.
- Is it easy to submit meter readings?
Yes! We have made it as easy as possible.
- In your first month of billing you will receive an email from us towards the end of the month reminding you that it is time to submit your meter read
- The email will contain your estimated bill for electricity and gas with the estimated cost
- To make this figure accurate customers can simply click on the link in the email
- The link takes you to your First Utility online account where you can type in your meter reads for both meters (electricity and gas).
When we receive your meter readings, we will submit these to the industry for validation. In most cases your readings will be validated and we will use them on your bill. If we are unable to use the readings that you have submitted then we will estimate your usage for the month. We will however amend your next bill and reconcile it against the read that you have submitted.
- How do I use my online account?
When we start to supply your electricity (and gas for those taking dual fuel) we will send you an email containing your user name and password. You will need these in order to log in to the customer portal and view your online account.
- To access your online account you will need to click on My Account at the top of this website
- Click on My Account located in the top right navigation bar, this will take you to the log in screen
- Enter your username and password
- Once you have logged in to your account you can view your monthly bill
- You can also submit regular meter reads through your secure online portal. Look out for the monthly emails that are sent to you to prompt you to submit meter reads

- Does this tariff include a smart meter?
This tariff does not include a smart meter, however, this tariff is designed to provide you with improved bill accuracy. This is possible through regular meter read submissions. Each month we will send you an email to remind you to submit your electricity and gas meter readings. If you submit readings each month then then your bill will be more accurate than it would if it was being estimated without regular meter reads.
- Can you provide me with 100% accurate bills without a smart meter?
No. Only smart meters can provide 100% accurate bills each month, however with our iSave tariff you can submit regular meter readings to ensure your bills are as accurate as possible.
